Recently, you’ve taken stock of your life and have concluded that you’ve done everything you can do on your own, but you still aren’t where you want to be.

Epiphany: you’re going to need some help to get where you want to go. But it’s tough to admit it – you’re used to figuring things out on your own. After all, most people come to you for help or advice.

Taking this step isn’t easy. You’ve got to step outside your comfort zone and allow yourself to be vulnerable with someone.

But you know what you want, and you’re ready to start making a difference.

Now, what?

What should you expect?

First, we’ll have a 20-minute phone consultation – so I can get a better understanding of why you seek therapy and what you hope to achieve as we go.

Next, after we’ve determined we’re a good fit and I can help you reach your goals, we’ll schedule your first session.

In between, I’ll send you some intake paperwork to complete electronically to facilitate our work.

I’ll begin our 45- to 55-minute sessions checking in with you to see how your day and week have been going and address any issues or observations you may have noted. We’ll also recap what we discussed during the previous session.

Then, we’ll integrate various approaches: Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and discuss problem-solving methods and techniques you can use to address your specific needs.

Occasionally, I’ll give you homework or recommend additional readings to enhance what we’re working on in your sessions.
